I write, edit, research, and fix the workflow when it gets fussy. Useful range for a content team that needs more than a draft.

01 / Selected work

Proof, not a pile of links.

A short list of things I've actually had to figure out. The useful kind of creative work.

01 SaaS / editorial

Make a complex product easy to trust

Software reviews with enough detail to be useful and enough restraint to stay readable for B2B buyers.

The problem

B2B buyers need to understand a platform quickly, but a feature dump rarely helps. The work was to turn dense product information into an honest recommendation with clear limits.

My contribution

I researched Float's positioning, tested its value for professional services teams, compared integrations, and translated the findings into a structured review built around actual buying questions.

The useful answer

Float is strongest for resource scheduling, capacity planning, project scoping, and financial forecasting. Its visual planning is a strength. The lack of built-in task management is a real tradeoff.

Editorial choice: trust comes from naming what a product does well and where it stops. The review covered time tracking, project scoping, collaboration, budget monitoring, integrations, pros, and cons without pretending every feature was revolutionary.

02 Technical / web copy

Translate technical detail into action

Heavy-duty trucking is not glamorous copy territory. It is a great test of whether technical advice can become clear, practical, and human.

The problem

A truck breakdown costs time, missed deliveries, and money. The reader does not need a lecture. They need to know how to choose a repair service before a small issue turns into a much larger one.

My contribution

I researched service standards, technician credentials, repair categories, response expectations, parts quality, and the questions fleet operators ask when the truck is already off the road.

The content path

  • Check certification and heavy-duty experience.
  • Confirm the full range of repair services.
  • Ask about 24/7 availability and response time.
  • Read reviews for patterns, not just stars.
  • Get clear pricing before work begins.
  • Confirm the quality of equipment and parts.

The writing move: start with the cost of downtime, organize the technical detail around six decisions, and give the service brand a credible place in the answer. No fog, no truck-shaped thesaurus.

03 Content operations

Build the system behind better content

Good content is partly writing and partly logistics. I've worked on both sides of that equation.

Workflow design · production coordination · standards · stakeholder alignment

The scope

At Black & White Zebra, I support SaaS and B2B content across editorial and sponsored channels, including ranked lists, reviews, comparison guides, and buyer resources.

The system work

I evaluate vendors against internal criteria, review copy for accuracy and clarity, improve publishing workflows, maintain standards, and keep handoffs moving across editorial, marketing, sales, and partnerships.

Why it matters

Content quality is easier to repeat when briefs, reviews, ownership, and deadlines are visible. The result is less time chasing status and more time making the work useful to readers and the business.

Range in practice: I began my earlier agency work as a B2B SaaS writer, managing long-form articles, white papers, newsletters, website copy, and thought leadership. I later moved into operations and improved the machinery behind the work.

04 Research / reporting

Find the signal in a noisy market

When the work is confidential, the method still counts: interviews, market signals, and a report that can survive a skeptical reader.

The assignment

As a Technical Writer and Field Director at Brendan Wood International, I supported telecommunications, media, and technology research for professional audiences.

The method

I conducted stakeholder interviews, identified useful patterns in market commentary, checked the story against the evidence, and shaped detailed reports for industry decision-makers.

The result

Complex interviews and market signals became clear, professional reporting. The work demanded curiosity, careful listening, disciplined synthesis, and writing that could hold up under scrutiny.

A necessary boundary: the client reports are confidential, so this case study shows the process and judgment without dressing private work up as a public sample. Discretion is part of the deliverable.

02 / Approach

Useful to the reader.
Accountable to the goal.

Good content should answer the question, support the business, and avoid sounding like it was assembled by committee.

01

Understand the brief

Clarify the audience, decision, search intent, and success signal before the first draft.

02

Make the complex clear

Research deeply, find the human language, and build an information path readers can actually follow.

03

Ship with confidence

Use clean workflows, practical QA, and stakeholder alignment to make quality repeatable.

03 / About

I see the whole system.

At Black & White Zebra, I manage SaaS and B2B content across editorial and sponsored channels, from vendor research and product reviews to publishing standards and cross-functional handoffs.

My earlier work spans heavy-duty trucking, telecom and media research, technical reporting, thought leadership, newsletters, and the operations that keep a content program moving.
